Award Winning Cheeseburger Soup Recipe | The Recipe Critic

This soup was so delicious! It is an award winning soup and it is excellent. I loved the cheesy flavor and that it was different than other soups.

This recipe turned out fantastic!! I added garlic when I was browning the meat. Next time we’ll add the bacon. My husband threw some crispy hatch chilies to his soup. It’s like the onion crisps you would put on green bean casserole. Yum!!

I followed the ingredients for the most part cutting back on a tablespoon of butter and some cheddar cheese. Swapped beef for turkey and also used whole milk. I wisked milk to the roux till thick (don’t let it boil)and then added cheese making a sauce to add to the broth and potatoes to ensure no curdling. Was sooooooo tasty and no leftovers!

Just made this for dinner and it was great! I didn't have celery or carrots so I added broccoli instead. And I didn't have chicken broth but I had a can of cream of chicken so I added that instead and the rest water with some chicken bouillon. The recipe is really forgiving. I subbed a bunch of stuff since it's what I had on hand and still came out great lol

AH-MAZING!!! Every time we make cheeseburgers for dinner we always have leftovers that I struggle not to let go to waste. I decided to try this with the leftover burgers and it did not disappoint. Three of us have Celiac, so I had to sub gluten free flour. I only had beef broth, so I had to sub that also and added bacon bits. This was a crowd pleaser. No Left-overs!!! :)

Sooo good! I doubled the recipe, added a few cloves of garlic pressed into veggies once they were sautéed, added an extra 2 and a bit cups of chicken broth as it looked quite thick still for a soup and finished off the soup with bacon, cheese and green onion on top. It was amazing, only con tho is that from start to finish its super time consuming and makes a lot of dirty dishes but still worth it! 10/10 recommend
